    This time we're changing tracks and reciting a few poems by the famous poetess Subhadra Kumari Chauhan. Subhadra ji has authored a number of popular works in Hindi poetry. Her most famous composition is Jhansi Ki Rani, an emotionally charged poem describing the life of Rani Lakshmi Bai. In 1921, Subhadra Kumari Chauhan and her husband joined Mahatma Gandhi's Non-Cooperation Movement. She was the first woman Satyagrahi to court arrest in Nagpur and was jailed twice for her involvement in protests against the British rule in 1923 and 1942. His teachings of the property “zero” influenced work in modern thermodynamics. Brahmagupta, in some ways, was a man born out of time in the way he looked at early math and astronomy.     Samrat Ashoka was the third ruler of the illustrious Maurya dynasty and one of the most powerful kings of the Indian subcontinent in ancient times. His rule between 273 BC and 232 B.C. was one of the most prosperous periods in the history of India. Ashoka reigned over a kingdom that stretched from the Hindu Kush mountains in Afghanistan in the west to the modern state of Bangladesh in the east.
